I wrote this song because I felt like I needed to call out all the games people play in the courting game.
There are so many, but one of the worst things you can do is keep the love you feel in your heart hidden. As someone once told me, “Love in your heart isn’t love until it’s given away.”
Anyways, seriously guys, if you like a girl, why wouldn’t you just tell her?
Okay, okay, so it recently came to my attention that many man never ‘fess up because they fear rejection.
Oh really?
Well, just go take on a sales job and that will definitely help you get over your fear of rejection.
As a fellow salesperson once said to me, “we eat rejection for breakfast” This lovely salesperson also told me “be open to being rejected.” Wow, what a revelation.
Yes, rejection feels terrible, but you will get over it and be stronger for it.
I am no expert, but I think there is great strength in vulnerability and in rolling with the punches.
You may not get the girl you want if you ‘fess up, but if you never ever told her, that’s an absolute guarantee that you won’t get her.
You know why? Cos it’s likely she doesn’t “get” you either. How will she know that you like her otherwise?
People aren’t mind readers ya’ know.
